Harry fears that he may be Voldemort’s weapon—but Ginny is the one person who knows what true possession feels like. Christmas at Grimmauld Place leads to St. Mungo’s closed ward, where Gilderoy Lockhart remains strangely himself and Neville’s hidden family story delivers one of the most heartbreaking moments of the series so far.
Then Kreacher returns with a suspicious story, Snape and Sirius nearly come to blows, and Harry begins studying Occlumency. As Snape tears through Harry’s memories, the locked corridor from his dreams finally gains a real-world location—and Voldemort receives his happiest news in fourteen years.
