Who Walked Into Whose Trap? (OotP Ch. 33 & 34)

Dolores Umbridge finally gets exactly what’s coming to her—but escaping the Forbidden Forest is only the beginning.

This week on Magic Muggle, Eric continues his first-time journey through Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Chapters 33 and 34, “Fight and Flight” and “The Department of Mysteries.”

Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna make the choice to leave Hogwarts behind and fly straight toward what they believe could be a confrontation with Voldemort. But when they finally reach the Department of Mysteries, things become stranger by the minute: floating brains, a mysterious veil, rooms that seem to manipulate time—and an object that has apparently been waiting sixteen years for Harry Potter.

Sirius is nowhere to be found.

And somebody else has been waiting for Harry instead.

Spoilers through Chapter 34 of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix**.**
